LIFE CARE PLANNING
Dr.
Bartlow has been developing independent living Life Care Plans for
over thirty years ha ving completed virtually hundreds of Life Care
Plans testifying in many State and Federal Courts. Life Care Planning will document the many and various aids, devices, services and equipment that a catastrophically injured client (quadriplegic, paraplegic, stroke,
CP, brain damaged, amputee, etc.) would need or require in order to
return, for as much as possible, quality of life, independence and
improvement in their personal living conditions.
Lifetime
costs are projected, although some economists prefer to do this themselves.
Categories that are evaluated may include mobility, transportation, hospitalization,
special medical care, therapies, medications, adaptive aids for activities
of daily living, recreation, house modifications, prosthetics, vehicular
modifications, nursing care and attendant care and many other important
items.
PRC
is nationally recognized as one of the premier Life Care Planning firms
in the United States. Dr. Bartlow has worked cases in 43
states and internationally.

Our Life Care Plans are available for the plaintiff or defense.
Options, other than complete Life Care Plans for consideration:
PRC
Vocational Testing Center, Inc. originated the concept of generic Life
Care Plans for settlement purposes and to keep expenses at a minimum.
A Generic Life Care Plan is a representative estimate of expenses for
a specific disability group. It is not localized; no physician is contacted,
and no home visit is made. To obtain a generic Life Care Plan, the
attorney should furnish a video tape of the client as well as pertinent
medical diagnostic information. Important
note: Our staff will not testify based on a generic
report.
Our fees for a generic Life Care Plan based only on a review of medical records and video
tape will not exceed $3,500.00. If a full Life Care Plan is later determined
to be necessary with an on site visit, the generic plan charges will
be considered partial payment toward the full plan.
For a fee of $2,500.00 to $3,500.00 we will confidentially review, evaluate and critique other
companies' Life Care Plans. You can put our considerable experience
to work for you even if you elect to use another service provider.
You can then be assured of a thorough and objective evaluation that
can be used to challenge and compare the other work product.
In order
for our company to design and create the best possible product for
your client, we require certain assurances of the referring party.
- A $1,500.00 retainer
is required before initiation of services.
- The final report
will only be forwarded upon payment of balance owed on final bill.
- We must have relevant medical information prior to our initiation of a study (including depositions of primary doctors and client when available).
- We expect access
to the referring attorney to discuss our questions and concerns. We need open communication in order to facilitate our case
study.
- We request the
referring attorney assist us in establishing communication with the
physician(s) involved and with the client.
- We are not economists.
If the Life Care Plan must be reduced to present value, you will require
an economist. An economist can easily annualize our projections with
our Jury Friendly report and format.
- Our services are not contingency based.
